  1. I am a 28+ year paraplegic who is now 68 so I have been around! I am now in bed with my 3rd decubitus which tunneled into my ischial 5.6 cm, but it didn't go to the bone and I didn't get osteomylitis this time, which I did both times before! So I am lying on my temprapedic mattress which is very comfy and doesn't cause pressure sores, sitting does. Unfortunately I was sitting on a sling seat, even tho I was using my Aquila alternating air pressure cushion!

For over 10 years now I have been using the e-Motion power assist wheels on my Quickie 2 manual wheelchair. These wheels are really great and helped keep the shoulder pain at bay for about 9 years. Then they started to bug me and I was able to get Physical Therapy and taught exercises which helped. The batteries were costing me a lot and the charges were not lasting more than 4-6 hours, but when I went to the last EXPO in Anaheim, I saw the new Lthium batteries and they gave me a trade in and WOW, they ae 1000 times better!! So now I can go TWO days without charging them! Plus they are programmable and you can set it for various conditions and gie it more or less juice for steepness and power and run, etc. I highly recommend them!!
